Salah (صلاة)

Posted by Hajar at 12:52 AM
Assalamualaikum. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

My dear brothers and sisters,

I may not say much about this and I may not be the right person to say this. I will never say I am better than anyone in this world, and I,myself do a lot of mistakes because I am still learning to become better and better everyday in His eyes. Bi iznillah.

BUT as a muslim I just want to say remind everyone especially myself, PLEASE take care of our SALAH (صلاة), the 5 times a day. If you can't recite the Quran daily, if you can't do any of the sunnah, BUT never ever forget your Salah, which is an obligation. It's only 5 times a day, not 50 times. And it doesn't take much of your time. It's the time when you ask Him and talk to Him, He who has created you.

Do you remember the purpose of why we were born to this world?

"And I have not created the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)." {Surah adh-dhaariyat: 56}

Salah is one way of worshiping Him. It's the easiest. We pray 5 times a day, we are worshiping Him. It's an obligation where we can gain a lot. To cleanse out our soul from dunya. To bow and sujud to Him, at least 17 times a day. 17 times a day, 2+4+4+3+4 =17. If we don't perform our salah, will we remember to bow and sujud to Him atleast 17 times a day? Highly doubted.

Abu Hurairahu (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "Say, if there were a river at the door of one of you in which he takes a bath five times a day, would any soiling remain on him?'' They replied, "No soiling would left on him.'' He (PBUH) said, '' That is the five (obligatory) Salat (prayers). Allah obliterates all sins as a result of performing them.'' [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

He gave us life. He gave us wealth. He gave us air to breath in. He gave us everything we needed. He gave us the time. Why won't we use the time given to worship Him? We should be grateful of what has been given to us.

So why are we even hesitating to perform our Salah? Is it really that difficult to spend time for our Creator? We can spend hours talking to your boyfriend/girlfriend(s). We can spend hours without sleeping watching drama(s), playing games, chatting with our friends, skyping.If I list all of the thing in the world, it will take forever. We listen to our parents. We listen to our teachers, managers, boss. But why don't we listen and obey Allah?

But why can't we pray then? WE want to talk about other peoples' sins? Try looking into the mirror. What do you see? Have you even perform salah today?

There might be something missing in this message I'm trying to send out, but, the only thing I'm trying to point out here is, the Salah. Take care of your relationship with Allah, Habluminallah and your relationship with people, Habluminannas. If you think something is not right with your life, check back your habluminallah wa habluminannas. We tend to treasure and pay more attention to habluminnas, but our habluminallah is messed up and neglected.

Allah, the Exalted, says:
"Verily, As-Salat (the prayer) prevents from Al-Fahsha' (i.e., great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse) and Al-Munkar (i.e., disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil, wicked deed).'' (29:45)

Think back. Look back. It's never too late to start and change to the better. Allah is the Most Loving and the Most Merciful. Reflect back on our Niat (purpose). For who is it for?

For what we know, Salah is the one of the pillars of Islam. Imagine this. to build a house we build the pillars first, then we start to build the wall around it. IF one of the pillars is broken or built weakly, and it collapsed, what will happen to the house? The house will fall apart. The same goes to Islam.

In the Day of Judgement, the first to be accounted is our salah.

The Messenger (S.A.W.) told us in an authentic hadith “The first thing the people will be accountable for on the Day of Judgment is prayer, Allah will say to His angels(even though he already knows) : “Look at my servants prayers. Were they complete or not?” If they were complete It will be written as complete. If they were not fully complete Allah will say: “See if my servant has voluntary prayers, If he has them Allah will say: Complete his obligatory prayers shortage with his voluntary prayers.” Then the rest of his deeds will be dealt with in the same manner.” {Reported by Imams Ahmad, Abu Dawood, An-Nisa'i, and Al-Hakim}

Allahualam.
If there's any error, I'm open for rectification. None is perfect as perfection only belongs to Allah (God Almighty). All good things come from Allah and all the bad things are from my side and the side of Shaiytan the accursed. Correct me if you must.

Assalamualaikum.
From the girl who is still learning to become a better muslimah.

It is such ashamed that the HANDSOME doesn't pray, even the handsome Prophet Yusof prayed.
It is such ashamed that the BEAUTIFUL doesn't pray, even the beautiful Saidatina Khadijah prayed.
It is such ashamed that the RICH doesn't pray, even the rich prophet Sulaiman prayed.
It is such ashamed that the POOR doesn't pray, even the poor prophet Muhammad (pbuh) prayed.
It is such ashamed that the ADULTS and CHILDREN doesn't pray, even Hasan and Husin prayed.
How about us?
